An Experiential Short-Course in

Personal Resilience

The Walk isn’t just a hike—it’s resilience in motion.

Join us for guided explorations that blend fresh air, beautiful trails, and proven practices from neuroscience and positive psychology. Along the way, you’ll discover practical tools for handling stress, building confidence, and strengthening both personal and team resilience.

Choose from beginner, intermediate, or advanced experiences—each set on a different regional trail system and designed to meet you where you are. And every ticket supports the trails we walk together, with $2 donated back to local nonprofits.

A Word From Bill…

Walk, Explore, Feel, Learn

The Walk was created with a simple purpose: to help people grow stronger through the power of movement, reflection, and community.

  • We share evidence-based techniques for building personal resilience.

  • We utilize the natural world as both a backdrop and a teacher.

  • We help individuals and teams reframe challenges as opportunities.

  • We celebrate what makes each person unique.

  • We equip you with tools that last long after the walk is over.

  • And with every step, we give back to the trails that host us—through advocacy, education, and financial support.

“No one escapes pain, fear, and suffering. Yet from pain can come wisdom, from fear can come courage, from suffering can come strength – if we have the virtue of resilience.”

~ Eric Greitens, Resilience

Book Your Experience

We offer three basic exploration options: 2-hour, 3-hour, and 4-hour trips. Each option requires a different level of physical and time commitment.

  • - The 2-hour course is on a completely flat and mostly paved path.

  • - The 3-hour course includes some challenging sections with steep terrain.

  • - The 4-hour course is primarily flat and follows a wide, soft trail.

See the details of each course on our booking page.

“Resilience is more than just recovering from a challenge or trauma. It’s demonstrating that we have not only reclaimed our previous position, but that we are better, stronger, and more agile because of what we experienced.”

~ Bill Palladino (TheWALK Founder)

“We’ve been doing off-site professional development for years, typically inside a hotel conference room. The WALK was such a different experience. Contemplative and thought-provoking, while being fun and energizing. You just can’t beat northern Michigan for it’s natural beauty any time of year.”

— Shakira M.

“We’ve been coming to Traverse City for years with our friend group. We’re always looking for new adventures that we can all participate in. The WALK was great!
